Tuff Time Starting
HEY GUYS
I havent started the S in 1 week and I went to go start it yesterday and it almost stalled out twice. its a 2000 with 18k on her. It was 40 degrees so it WAS COLD and I had 1/2 tank of 93 octane. It started the RPMs dropped 2 or 3 times and them it finnaly idled smoothly.
ITS BONE STOCK too
Any idea why it did that?
thanks all

Obvious questions: Is there a CEL? Any codes being given?
That asside, I would guess fuel... when's the last time you replaced the fuel filter? Also, do you hear the fuel pump running when you first turn the key over (before you press Start)?

Yea i hear the fuel pumping
A CEL light does come on but then goes away after it blinks a few times. It started when I took off my airbox lid and drove around to hear the motor "growl" I put the lid on and it came on...

If the CEL stays on (and you can get the car to stay running), run it by Autozone and have them pull the OBD-II codes for you... it will likely go a long way towards figuring out the problem.
It could also be the one of the intake sensors (MAP, intake air temp, etc)...

Horrible idea. You might have run some dirt through the engine or killed/damaged a sensor.
Other than lighting briefly when you start the car, it shouldn't come on for 6000 miles again.
