Default APEXi WS2 vs. Invidia vs. HKS Hi Power

I have to get new exhaust for the S. I let someone take it up the street yesterday. When she got on it, the car sounded like it had a mix between a hole in the muffler, and nuts/bolts rattling around in the pipes. I cant find anything on power number for the three. I like the way the WS2 looks and sounds. Everyone and their brother has the Invidia here where I live. The hks is really expensive but im not sure of how much better, if at all, it is than the other two. Plus the hks and invida remind me of cheap universal mufflers. But I would like to know power numbers if anyone has them.

EDIT: has anyone heard any good or bad about the neuspeed exhaust? It looks alright but I've never heard anything about them.

Don't expect to make power with an exhaust on the S...it's just for looks and sound. My personal favorite is the HKS dual. From what I hear, the Invidia drones quite a bit...and I don't like the burnt Ti tips.

I’m not trying to make power; I just don’t want to lose power. I basically want to know which ones keep the power about the same. I honestly could care less about gaining 2hp at 8900rpms if I loose 10 through out the power band. I’m not doing it for a performance upgrade, the stock mufflers just sound like horrible right now. As long as I don’t loose HP and the exhaust doesn’t sound bad then I'll be fine with it.

Stock is okay, it's quiet.

If you want a good rumble i've liked the Amuse Powerhouse Ti dualies for their sound and looks. J's 70 is there too but it's very expensive.Subjectively Spoon doesn't look the best but it sounds great, I would put T1R on the same level for best value.

You might wat to take a look at Fujitsubo Legalis. Looks good, and does not lose power. It is quiet, but louder than stock. And the price is pretty decent, about 800

good idea on the fujitsubo. the legalis R is a quality exhaust that is a little louder then stock.

were you interested in keeping the dual exhaust look or going to a single?
we actually have some amuse exhausts in stock along with a dual j's racing, but those will be at least 2x the amount of money of the exhausts you've been looking at. buddyclub is another good choice and the pricing is very good on their parts. i've shipped out several this year and had one on my itr not long back.

I have the Invidia and I am really happy with it. It is Loud (had to upgrade the stereo just to hear it) but it sounds great when paired with a good intake. I don't feel any difference in the power, good or bad.
