Default The Internals

Im no where near my dream of getting one...Well thats a lie im close haha. But for the glorious day to come i was wondering a few things before i buy this beast. How strong are these internals and what can the cylinder walls take.. i was going to build up a old hatch but S2K is the way to go...(im more leaning towards the 04 and up since they have a .2 liter increase)

It depends, what are your future plans? This car isn't the greatest for modifying. You'll spend a lot to gain very little if you want to keep it naturally aspirated.

the na power of the car i basically topped out, the big leaps were already made by honda. as for FI, the ompression ratio is enormous, any ammount of boost will need to be fined tuned to a T.

My buddy has an '02 running a custom turbo kit, using Hondata. He ended up spending close to 5 hours of dyno time on race gas to get it tuned correctly.

It's only being run on 5psi right now but it's a fairly large turbo and the effective compression because of the high compression engine is probably through the roof.

It hauls ass, I can ask him exact specs if you're interested.

Since Hondata doesn't modify S2000 ECUs yet, I find this to be questionable.

I'm mistaken on his management system then. I don't think it's just an AFC.

I'd guess an eManage or AEM EMS. Most turbo s2k guys use either or with good success.

And there's word going around that the '06 s2k ECU can be reflashed. Too bad you won't be able to put it in the older cars.
