hey guy, ,what is the price for a hard top.found a 2001 s2000 price for $16,500.00 with 74000 miles . is it reasonable. is that a plastic rear mirror.also the new model is it better then before.

 

hardtop are around 2,900 new. i believe it does have the plastic rear window. and 16,500 is a little high , well it depends on the condition of the car. i think 2003 the best year for AP1 IMO. and if you mean newer model it all matter of opinon

 

so an xtra 3grand for hardtop, the soft top look cheap and doesn't feel high performance.

 

00-01 have plastic rear windows...

02+ have glass

As for hardtop they vary... I read that they did go up in price a bit so expect to pay 2.5K-5K more depending if u get OEM or aftermarket...

but yes do try and get a 02+ because i hear its better...

haha o yeah forgot about aftermarket hardtop mugen has one of the nice looking hardtops for a reasonable price which is around 2,900 unpainted and around 5,500 for carbon fiber mugen. so OEM would be cheaper but its all matter of taste. i agree with RicoD try to get 02+

 

any blind spot,how is the all around view,wind noise,leaking.

 

OEM doesnt have much of blind spot but the mugen one does. the blind spots for both hardtops r not as bad as soft top. rear window on mugen and OEM are bigger then softtop, for wind noise ive only heard there isnt that much if at all

 

top one is OEM ths one is mugen style made by seibon

 

also OEM has defroster and a finsh on the inside. while mugen doesnt have deforster and no finsh on inside so it all depends on your preference i suggest you go on www.s2ki.com and search more about hardtop there

 

is it true the new model has less performance.
