05 s2000 gear grinding noise/feeling
Syncromesh isn't well lubricated when cold, when the transmission fluid warms up and thins out it goes away.
This is a common phenomenon on a lot of manual transmissions. Just shift it easy till the car is at operating temperature.

check this thing out. there's a used 05 at my work, with this Jaz shock tower brace on it. the brace also has a little hydraulic damper that mounts to the engine and helps to clean up the shifts. i can really feel it. you guys all may want to investigate.
thats a interesting pc. I dont see how it will help the shifting much but Im sure the damper will do some good
My buddy has the same problem in his S2K 05'. Every time he goes into second you can feel it and hear it "click". Sucks. He's only got 5-6K on it too!

this car on the showroom is all pimped out. it's an 05 with 2000 miles on it. i've driven an 02, an 03, another 03, several 04s and 05s, and a few 06s. trust me, that thing is a big improvement.
I can feel it a little bit on the 1-2 and 2-3 shifts in my 03...but I notice that if I shift faster it doesn't happen. It doesn't grind, I can just feel the gear/syncros. How much is that brace?

i can't remember, i'll dig up the price. my buddy's 03 would grind on the 1-2 shift, but if you held the shifter to the left while shifting, it wouldn't. weird, huh?
