Default S2000 1/4 times

I was interested to know what kind of times people are running in their s2000 and possibly what is getting them there. Also what is the average a stock s2000 runs in the 1/4?

Average driver 14.2-14.3. Skilled driver, 13.7-13.9 are attainable.

The car is not meant for drag racing though but to each his own

:werd: The s2k is at home on the road course. In a straight line it should just put down decent numbers, nothing fancy.

Even on F&F it was the slower car of the bunch. It performed beautifully on the bridge jump though.h:

Default 1/4 mile?

The S2000 is not a drag racer. This summer last I sold my Hot Rod. I owned a 1969 Mustang Mach 1. It was only a 351 but was built to the teeth. It was about 400hp. I could do 85 mph in 2nd gear. It was fun to drop the clutch and run through all 4 gears of the classic Top Loader transmission.

End of story! How often can you go 85 in 2nd gear? After about 1 month it was no longer fun. A short trip on the freeway and at 65 mph it was screaming meamies in 4th gear with no where to go. Yawn!

On New Years eve 1 month ago I took some of the money I got for selling the dear old mint condition Mach 1 and at the year end Honda Sale I purchased a 2006 S2000. Suzuka Blue Metallic with Blue Leather interior.

Holy Crap! It's like going over the edge on Splash Mountain in Disney Land. Honda did not design this car for the 1/4 mile. Though it will go 0 to 60 in about 4.5 (don't quote me) sec. Going through the gears on a windy road is like driving a slot car. As I drove home that night you could hear me scream just exactly like I did going over the edge of splash mountain.

If Honda ever makes an 8 cylinder version of this car I'll be standing in line at my dealership.
