My insurance barely changed at all when I got my s2k. I went from a 2001 Dodge Stratus R/T to my S.
I am 29 and have a perfect record.

Man it sounds like some of you are getting mugged on insurance rates. NONE of my cars have premiums higher than $375 every 6 months, and that is for FULL COVERAGE. This is for a male in his 20's as well.

for comparison's sake - insurance on my '02 rsx-s was $881 every six months...

dude i live in VA and i have been considering the same (trading my 01 integra in for a s2k). i did a search on cars.com and i found 00 and 01 s2k's for like 15,000-17,000 which isnt bad considering i payed 17,000 for my gsr with 19k miles on it proly like 6-7 months ago.

I'm 22 with a clean record living south of Pittsburgh. I pay $180 a month for full coverage with a local Allstate agent. This was by far the cheapest that I found. Some places like Progressive were telling me almost $400 a month! State Farm didn't seem too bad either.

I've seen them sell in the high teens, but I don't know about one that is in the mids.
I'm probably going to get one in a year or more so I'm gonna go save some money.

If you are still looking for a low cost S2000, I know a guy that is selling one for about $16,000. Nicely kept car too.
