if any one can please do a carfax for this vin for me Vin # JHMAP11423T003555


it is a 2000 s2k and guy bought the car from america when he lived here and moved to sweden and needs to sell the car.. he took the car with him to sweden.. he is willing to ship it back but.. will i have to pay crazy taxes for the car to be shipped back here and what not. he is paying for shipping i saw pictures of the car it looks 100% 24,499 miles or sumtin .. please i need advice.. price is 10,000 shipped or is there sumtin shaddy about this deal?
and how do i go about paying and stuff.

This smells strongly of an eBay "escrow" service type of deal. If he's going to demand that you pay through escrow, then make sure YOU choose the escrow service. He may point you to a service "he uses", but in reality it'll be a website he (or a chum) owns that looks real, but in fact he'll drain your money leaving you with no car.

An S2K for 10G sounds way worth it, care to trade me my I-4 Accord for it? I'm not trying to be a dick here, I'm just saying it sounds wayyyy fishey.

i've seen way to many of these... i've seen autotrader links scaming like this. if you look you probably could even find stupid errors by them and see its a scame.

I caught about 3 of those deals on ebay. Same MO. Moved from the states and took the car with them, however can't register it there for whatever reason. I looked up VINs and then asked them a question based on that info, and their stories never checked out - like the car was registered in TX but they lived in CA or something like that. I always ask them for a picture of the VIN and that's the end of it.
