Hi everyone, does anyone know the top speed (before the redline) of every gear on the S2000. The redline is at 9000rpm right?

thats what they sed when it was released,but i recall reading somewere that it is auctually 5 or 600 rpm less than they were telling people.

 

well depending on how you read the tach its either 9k or 8900..... the rev limiter will kick in right away after you hit 9k rpms and you see three red blinks, it will feel like you hit a wall. 1st gear all the way to the limiter goes to about 42 or 43mph, second gear goes 67mph, third 91, 4th near 120, car tops out a little after 160, close to 170 if you are going downhill.

 

About the redline, did it change for the 2004 modele, with the 2.2liter engine =240hp@7800rpm.

Yes it did change for 04'. The Rev Limit (fuel cutoff) is now 8200rpm's.

Top speed is around 150mph.

 

those speeds seem identicle to my gs-r the top of gear speeds besdie the top speed but thats means even closer gears bc of the extra 1000rpm to play with
