Default Back to Hondas I go

Ok....so I narrowed down my car choices to 2 cars.

Mazda6 s: I can get this sucker below dealer invoice. The problem with this is that I don't know if this replacement for the 626 will be reliable or not since it is the first year it is made. I had a Mazda 929 before....and I wasn't all that impressed. That and I have friends telling me to stay the hell away from Mazda since they are linked up with Found On Road Dead.

RSX-S: Oh yeah....I love this car. Ever since I got my 99GSR ripped from me and stripped to the bone, I've been very skeptical about buying another Honda. The local ricers have been ruining the Honda reps with the cops as well. Yah....so now I am going to move to a different neighborhood. Not a lot nicer...but better since I have my own house.

I am leaning towards the RSX-S...back to Honda I go. I just wanted to know how the S owners like their cars and what type of mods were done on your S. Thanks

I have a 00 Type R, but my cousin has an RSX type S. Its sweet. Its as if you took a Type R and honey over all of it. The engine is so smooth, the stick is slick, and the way the red lights of the interior look at night are awesome. No doubt its a nice car, and I'm saying this with as much objectivity as I can. Im sure the Mazda 6 is a nice car - it looks nice for one thing- but I think the overall relaibility coupled with the performance makes the RSX more worth it.

Love the RSXtypeS. Had it now for a little over 16 months. We got the first one off the lot in Ann Arbor...traded a 99 GSR in Super Sonic Blue, on it the dealer wanted it, and it was off the lot before a week was up. The TypeS is a much more refined car, not as whiney as the GSR and quicker. We've got nearly 25000 miles on it too, the only problem was a bad O2 sensor that the dealer promptly fixed.

get a wrx for a little bit more. 4wd + factory snail (under warranty!!) = ownage

insurance will be very close to the rsx because we all know honda = theft magnet.

as long as this excessive theft **** keeps going i will never buy another sub 30k honda.

Yeah...but I don't like how noisy the WRX can get

I got a quote from the dealer

2003 Silver RSX-S w/ wheel locks, floor mats, underbody kit, spoiler, and titanium dash for $23900+tax. What do you think?

I would say go for it, if it's in your budget...

you know it's a tight car
