I just bought a 05 RSX a short while ago. So its been about 3-4k miles and thinking about changing the oil. It has about 55000 miles on it now. I'm just wondering what oil my fellow RSX owners use or think i should use? I'm trying to decide if i am supposed to use a 5w-20 or 5w-30.

 

hmm i just started reading my owner's manual and according the the maintenance schedule it looks like you're supposed to change the oil every 10,000 miles? Does anyone know if this is true? I was under the impression it was every 3000 miles.

 

they recommend 10k oil changes under normal conditions.

but for peace of mind, i do mine every 3k-ish.

 

you could do it every 8-10k is you use synthetic.
