shift lock and malfunction indicator lamp
Two days ago the malfunction indicator lamp for my '04 RSX (automatic) came on. I don't think the gas cap was loose, but I tightened it anyway; BTW, it had been over two days since I last filled. I called the dealer to make an appointment to have it checked, but was happy when it went off by itself last night.
This morning it was back on again, but now I'm not able to shift out of park. If I turn off the car, I can press the break and shift out of park; if I then start the engine I can shift again. However, the same problem comes back after turning the car off. The brake lights come on when I press down the brake, so I don't think that's the issue.
Any ideas?
