Default Questions regarding HID light

I want to change my headlight to HID in EP. Any recommendation for reliable manufacturers? I also have questions on Bi-xenon and the HID....... I am very confused on those 2 types of bulb........ I live in NYC area..... Any recommended workshop locally will be a great help. My budget is about $250 or little more (installed). If it isn't too difficult, I will try to do it myself

Bi-Xenon lights are HID, it just means that instead of having a halogen high beam and HID low beam, it simply tilts the reflector up to have the HIDs in both high and low beams. Its found on BMWs, Audis, etc.

250 probably isn't going to be enough for a good system.

The best thing you can do is take the projector from a a BMW, Benz, Audi, TSX, etc and retrofit it into your headlights. www.hidforum.com is your best bet.

I've heard really good things about the McCulloch HID kits. I think I'm going to get a set in the next couple months.

best way to do HID on an EP is either retrofit or CTR headlights with HID's. its hard to find 02-03 CTR headlights with the HID's since they werent that common, but its possible to find the 04-05 CTR headlights with HID's.

of course, either option will run you more than 250 dollars. but with something like HID's, you want it done right the first time.

i had horrible glare with a plug and play HID kit in my stock headlights and ended up getting the 04-05 CTR headlights and now i have HID's with an awesome cut off.

excuse the green-ish light, took that pic with my camera phone, its much more whiter than that. h:

Pic doesn't show.

And isn't the CTR going to be for RHD, which means that its not legal here and that it'll piss off other drivers....
