AC/Defrost override for Civic and RSX
You know how you can't shut off the A/C when you have windshield defrost selected? I found an override on the internet. It worked on my '02 Si.
1. With the car off, urn all of the dials all the way to the left.
2. Press and hold the A/C and Recirculate buttons.
3. Insert the key, turn the car to "on" while holding buttons. Wait for the Reciruclate light to blink a bunch, and then the A/C light comes on. 4.Release the buttons and shut the car off.
That's it! Now, when I select "windshield defrost" or "windshield defrost plus feet" the AC still turns itself on, but I can turn it off again by tapping the A/C button.
