first let me say congrats on the purchase! the type-S is an absolutely BADASS car for the money!

the #1 priority for me would be LIMITED SLIP DIFFERENTIAL. these can run you anywhere from $300 shipped for a used itr lsd (which fits right in by the way) to $1500 for a kaaz. you can find used LSDs for sale on this board, on honda-tech, and on ebay. this will dramatically improve handling and traction in turns. also some super sticky tires, maybe nitto neo-gens or falken azenis?

other than that i would start with the basics - intake, header, exhaust. that will open it up a little more and lay the groundwork if you decide to go supercharger or turbo later on. as far as all that, i wouldn't mess with a super or turbo until the car is fully broken in - 15,000 miles or so. but i'm anal like that. the intake is the first thing i would do, just because you can hear the secondaries opening up at 5800 rpm and it sounds cool. you'll get a tiny bit more power, a bit of throttle response. good place to start. its your car, so do what you want. as for rims, 16 is the stock size, so unless you were going with wider rims, or significantly lighter rims, i wouldn't bother. you may however, consider spending some money for some REALLY sticky tires. that will make much more a difference in handling than rims will. heck, maybe lower it about an inch, maybe strut tower bars for improved handling. all these are potential suggestions - i focus mainly on performance/handling, not on looks or show, but it all depends on what you see for your car, what you like and where you want to focus your attention/energy/money. congrats again, enjoy it!!!

first of all Josh thanks for your reply. your input is greatly apreciated man. i agree totally with you and come to think of it breaking the car in totally left my mind thanks again. i agree with what you said sticky tires would be great and i'm kinda if'y about rims but yeah an exhaust getting it lowered the red honda emblem the cool air intake and headers are all good things to do it now. see with me i dont want something to smoke everyone on the road you know i'm not the type that talks trash you know i mean if your car or w/e if faster better than mine thats awesome u kno so i mean with me i just want something not too simple but no too out there i wanna do small things here and there you know for my own personal satisfaction but yeah i think thats wat i'll do to it.

thanks bro

(if anyone else has anything to say plz your input would be apreciated)

hey Josh what do you think about the whole Civic Sedan Si concept?? i like it but i think it'll look extremely better without the wing. but i mean thats me!!!

personally, i can't wait to see it! i agree with you on the wing, but it does need something to differentiate from the standard civic. i actually sell cars at a honda dealership, so i'm really stoked to see that new si 4-door!

At the moment I don't think you really need a LSD.

A supercharger is a pretty good option as it gives you a usable power band and pretty good increase in power. However before doing any major engine mods (turbo, super, NA kit, etc.) make sure you research what you're doing. Your reliability is probably going to decrease and you'll need to be prepared to deal with whatever may come up. I'd also look into a turbo kit, however, to see the best option.

What exactly do you plan on doing with the car?

And I don't see why the SiR is anything but a good thing....more choices = customer wins.

okay i think all that i'll do with it is:
  • cool air intake or short ram???
  • header
  • exhaust
  • red honda emblem in back
  • take acura emblem off in front
  • lower it
  • rims??? (i saw some Exel wheels that i really like)
  • sticky tires
  • blk'ing the whole thing out
  • a short shifter
i think thats all i'll probably do to it for a while. i dont wanna do toooo much to the engine until i break it in maybe 10-15k ???? but yeah i think i got it all i duno i might have forgotten to list some things but yeah!!

and another thing ...... Sedan Si---> Genius!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! BeAuTiFuL
