5000? where do you live?
my prelude cost me 2850 (thanks to my 5% AAA discount ), and i thought that was a lot. for 5000, i would consider not driving, because i would be spending a lot more of my savings just on keeping the car going
whats your record like?
also, shop around a bit. amica quoted me for the same coverage moneywise at 3200, as opposed to the ?-5% at 2850
edit:
also the new gti looks good but i wish it had more than 200hp, we could have used an h22 and got that(obv lower tq.)

Any money saved on insurance will be depleted trying to pay for all the repairs that a VW would need

Why are u still looking at the concept when the real one is out?

Regarding the class you took in school.. if u were in high school it was probably to get ur permit. No discount there. Talk to your insurance company to see if they offer those types of discounts. They usually have you watch some video that has pretty graphic shit. its supposed to scare you into driving carefully. you'll get something like 10% off ur premium.

i pay 200/month for insurance and thats because i dont qualify as an experienced driver. anyone paying 400+/month is getting jipped.

I have a 2006 RSX-S, I'm 26 in Cali. and I pay $3360.00/year (Progressive) with a far from clean record (3-4 speeding tickets & 1 accident in my previos car). $5000.00 is INSANE!!! You're paying WAY too much!
