the only way to clear it is with the computer. you can buy one or take it to the dealer but the dealer is gonna charge you alot. try going to some shops to see if they have one. all you have to do is plug the computer n under the dash and then over right the maint light. take only a couple of seconds. if you wanna buy a computer they sell for like 130? up

To get rid of the maintenance light you DO NOT need a computer. Try reading your owners manual and it will tell you how to reset it. I have done this with my 04 Type-S. This is how to turn it off. Its a simple as turn off your car, with the keys out of the ignition, push and hold down the Select, and Reset button for your odometer. While holding them down put your keys in and turn the car to the run position but don't turn the car on. The (MRL) will blinks once, and the wait about another 5-10 seconds and the light will then turn off. You can now release the to buttons. Now just turn the car back to the off position, and go ahead and start the car up. The Maintenance Required Light will now be off. This is also in the OWNERS MANUAL.
The computer is how they get you to pay for something you don't need. That is the price you pay for not reading the information that came with the car I guess.
