05 civic si or scion tc? same price I guess
Since this is a honda forum, of course you are going to get opinions biased towards the Si, get on a Scion forum and they will praise the TC. I am a buyer for a large dealer (Carmax) and I have worked at our Toyota/Scion store and driven multiple TC's. Both cars are nice, you need to drive both and decide what works for you. As far as resale goes, the 02+ Civic Si will not fare well, the body style does not appeal to a wide range of people, and wholesale market value reflects this. The TC however, which has a wide range of appeal, should hold its value well. I commonly see them at Auction (manheim, etc..) sell for almost as much as they do new.

Recently test drove an '06 Tc and an 06 Civic EX Coupe back to back, pretty close on price and features, but the quality on the Civic seemed to be higher, felt like better fit and finish. I"m 6' 2" and had a hard time getting comfortable in the Tc, but was able to get the Civic to fit me better, more quickly. The seats in the Civic I liked much better, too, the seats in the Scion, while they looked well bolstered were way too squishy and didn't provide anywhere near enough support. I know you weren't asking about the new generation of Civic, but it might be worth a look (I personally like the looks of the new Civic a lot more than the '05 Si). Oh, and the result of my test drive? Deposit down on an '06 Si with Nav in Rallye Red....
Well for starters their system is weak, riding off S2K hiding radio & at my job I see more females looking at them anyways. Another thing to add to Toyota bad production rides were: Echo& Paseo. Thiers just so much for an Si than tc its not even funny. They dont hold value either...holla
You think the TC does not hold value well? What is the last auction you went to? Back your opinion up with some facts.

too bad the echo and paseo has nothing to do with the Tc since the engine is from a camry...which is one of the most dependable and reliable ride in the US.
