Default AEM intakes

I traded in my 94 Integra LS for a 2002 gray RSX-S last week with only 25,000 miles on it.
Got it for $18,999 but had to drive 235 miles to pick it up.
Someone added premium 17" wheels and tires on it.
When I opened the hood I discovered a K&N Typhoon SRI intalled on it which I was not expecting.
I had already decided that I wanted to get a AEM cold air intake after I got an RSX.
I have been considering AEM CAI or AEM V2.
Does anyone know if the V2 will be worth the extra hundred bucks over the V1.
From what I can tell it looks like the V2 kind of goes in like the K&N.

After some searching the HP gains I've seen for the K&N are 7.4 HP to 10.4 HP (don't know what I'm getting)

I'm seeing claims of up to 20 HP for AEM on the RSX-S.

Can anyone vouche for that?

Yeah, it's true. A lot of owners are reporting about 15-20whp gain with the AEM V2 intake on the Type-S only. Base gains about 6whp.

RSX's dyno stock at about 160-165whp. With an AEM V2 intake, Jackson Racing "Race" Header (not CARB exempt, they have a "Street" header that's legal, tho.), a good catback (HKS, GReddy, APEXi, etc) and Hondata #4 ECU reflash you can make it fast. With the above I/H/E/ECU you'd be putting 200 to the wheels. 40whp with 4 mods is nothing to sneeze at.

Edit: AEM's dyno shows 20whp.

I would also keep the K&N, unless you have the extra $ to buy the v2, and just sell the K&N

I'm going to keep the K&N for right now. I have the money for a V2 but the K&N seems to be performing pretty well.
When I bought my RSX-S it already had the intake so I do not know how my car performs with a stock intake. So I have no way to compare unless I drive over a 100 miles to the nearest Acura dealer to test drive one or find a local used one.
If some of the dyno charts I have seen for the K&N are correct then I should be seeing up to 12 peak horse power. I can live with that.

All I know is that my car is sure a blast to drive. I drive almost 80 miles to and from work each day on windy country roads. I enjoy every minute of it even though I have been driving the same road for 19 years.

I'd go on and get a Jackson Racing "race" header if you don't have state emission tests, if so get the "street" version. You'll notice that
