Default Car Service

Hi, i had to get my car served and i know someone at Honda who might be able to get me a discount, i was wondering if i can take my acura rsx there...will it just be treated by acura as if it was done at a acura dealership seeing as how they are the same company (Honda and Acura)...anyone have any problems ever doing this, thanx.

Check with other people to see if that dealership does reputable work. To me, I wouldn't worry too much about it because most Honda dealerships around here do nice work.

I'm pretty sure it would be the same. Just call acura and find out what they say.

I've taken both of my Civics to ACURA before for work because I had a friend as a mechanic there. I only trust him to do work that I don't do. But it wasn't a problem taking it there, and it won't be a problem as all work will be noted in their system. As for warranty work, only ACURA will flip the bill on that if you ever have issues that need taken care of. Honda will not want to pay for that.

Also, not all Honda dealers will service Acuras. My local Honda dealer won't even do an oil change on Acuras... And my Acura dealer (the closest) is 120 miles away...

Any Maintence performed at a Honda dealership on your Acura will be honored By Acura as long as it meets the requirements specified in your owners manual. No guessing or BS here,, its the truth.
