Who has an EP3 in here?

Just wanted to welcome anyone with an EP in here, since this forum will accomidate both RSX and EP's.

My current mods are Mugen Sports Suspension and RSX-S 5 lug, rear sway, wheels and tires. (5 lug will be installed next week). Soon to test at Summit Point!

Thanks,
Victor

You know how it is. Too many five bolt wheels.

I think I want the Spoons on the EP3.

In the photos, I really wondered about those '04 taillights. They don't look as frightful in person as one might expect.

bAecHoO 03-02-2004 07:59 AM

to me i like the 2003 model much better theyre fresh and sharp looking compared to 2004 headlights and taillights but i like the change they did with the wheels changing it to 16in wheels i just got the 2003 model ep3 =D

Yes they are just as ugly in person. But I did get lucky and find a set of 02-03 light on Ebay and bought them.

possible AEM intake

anyone know if there are rainguards for the windows available?
It is the only thing that I dislike about my car. The rain rolls right
off the roof and into my car!

George Knighton 03-25-2004 06:05 AM

I'm curious about something. Those of us who bought the '02 and '03 EP3 were able to get extraordinary deals on the cars.

Would you mind too awfully if we asked what kind of deal you got on the '04?

I'm wondering if they cut back production for the USDM because they had to cut so many deals on the earlier cars. I think the '04 might end up being a rare car compared to the earlier years.

And on top of that, I'm hearing that the '04 might be the last year for the EP3 Si, which would make it a very unusual marketing ploy on Honda's part.

Seraphim 03-25-2004 07:03 AM

I got a pretty good deal on my car, I traded in my old one as part of the deal, but I didn't get that much for it because carfax found that it had been taken off the warranty due to a major accident.

Which I never knew about, how nice.

I got mine for 18,000.
Coulda done better if my car wasn't scrapped and rebuilt.
(stupid private owners)

The Wall Street Journal actually has an article out today
dissing the Si.
And they are discontinuing the line after this years '04.
I didn't care, I love my Si... It is a great little car.

Whoa.

Instant collector's item!

It seems to me that the '92-'95 hatches didn't realise their potential until after they were gone.

Perhaps it'll be the same w/the '02-'04 hatches.

The 92 - 95 hatchs are classics and they look good..

The 02-04 hatchs will never be a collectors Item... there just 2 damn ugly! :D :D :oh:

George Knighton 03-25-2004 05:42 PM

 This from the guy w/the red del Sol.

I remember when people in the USA first laid eyes on the British-designed '92 hatch. At the time, they thought that it was ugly. :P

03ep3si 03-30-2004 01:20 PM

hahah I actually I though the Del sol's were pretty ugly too when they first came out, but only saw them in Samba green, which I still think is an ugly color ! :D

Yup.

That colour was a throwback to the safety colours of the late sixties and early seventies.

You're probably not old enough to remember when about 25% of all Porsches sold in North America were Signal Orange.

And even I owned Porsches that were Zambezi Green.

Jack, I bet when you were young you modded your big wheel, you probably have owned anything that stayed stock for long... hehe :D

the stock midpipe is small and restrictive. getting a 2.25 inch midpipe made usually sees more gains than getting an aftermarketaxle back. the stock axle back is good for 200+ hp, therefore, lots of us are getting midpipe only and keeping the stock muffler.

batboy02si 04-02-2004 02:19 PM

02 si in mass. i/h/e w/ mugen suspension on the way. then some slips w/es100 hopefully.
