Civic EX or RSX Type-S
I have to admit that i have been into trucks since i started driving (im 22 now) but i am goin to sell the truck i have and either buy a 04 Civic EX or an 04 RSX Type -S.
I was hoping i could get input about each of the cars, like if one is such a better deal then the other??? I know the main differences like the civc is around 18K and 127HP and the RSX Type-S is 23K 200 HP, but would most of u go for the RSX and put money into that to make it fast or would u save the 5K you would save buyin the civic and put it into that? Would the civic ever compare to RSX. Pretty much im just lookin for any feed back on each car, Pros and Cons. I appreciate it!!!!!!

Start with the RSX-s. You would have to spend the difference just to get the civic up to the RSX-s HP. The RSX-s is a more refined car than the civic, better suspension, handling. The first thing that you need to change on the RSX-s is the tires, the stock Michelins suck. Go for the RSX-s, you won't mind looking back at the Civic.

And you drive???
I vote for RSX-S even if I am biased, the facts are facts. You'll be much more appreciative of the refinement in the RSX after owning it for longer than 2 months. The 1.7 in the Civic is weaksauce and not much aftermarket support (yet). The k20a2 in the type s is the next "B-series" Honda engine and responds incredibly well to basic bolt-ons making a lot more fun and cheaper to get nice numbers out of it. The stock suspension on the Type S will outhandle many a car despite the shitty tires.
Hope that helps, any more questions ask.
get the type i beat a 04 civic in my minivan with 3 peopel in the minivan and that civic was manual i then raced when in the all stock gs-r and i bea him bad off the luanch then he buzzed me and kept on ulling. hten raced one in my wrx from a 40 punch and u beat me by like 2 cars to 90
Honestly, the cars are not even comparable. The chassis/motor are so different. If it was me, I'd of gotten a RSX over my GSR, but money issues didn't allow that. I moved from a 94 Civic to my 99 GSR. Definantely get the RSX. The money that you'd save from buying a Civic just isn't worth it.

I'm gonna tell you to go with the RSX on this one. Everyone else in my family have Acuras and I can tell you that you get great service from the dealer, and you can put many many miles on their products without a lot of trouble.
Civics seem more basic inside and they have less power. But what is your ideal car? Both cars have a great ride quality, and lots of place to store things inside the car - they make great daily drivers. If you are more for speed and power, go for the RSX because it isn't too bad for the price. I'm not about to say they are seriously fast or that the aftermarket is big compared to what I drive, but face it - not everyone wants a rough suspension and pay a lot for gas or have a glovebox that can bearly contain the owners manual!
Test drive them both and I think you will like the RSX-S a lot better.

teh reliability and maintence part is irelvent because both cars are made by the same person honda and the civic will be more reliable after 100,000 miles but your rsx-s will still last you to at least 100,000 miles without having to do any major maintence and more if u drive it nice
