My 88 prelude belts just started skreeching recently. I am not sure if it is an AC belt or some other belt. However I can tell that the skreeching is coming from the belts( there seem to be 2) that are on the front right near the alternator. How can I tighten the belts or do they need to be replaced?? Or could it be something else???

 

the one on the left is the atlernator belt... that's the one probably squeeking.... they should be replaced though you can tighten them...

to tighten them there is an eye hook looking thing that is PIA to mess with... i can't find a proper diagram from hondaautomotiveparts.com and i don't have a scanner or i'd scan in my honda service manual... hopefully someone else has theirs scanned in.. but i'll try to do a search...
