i did use redline oil before but i was burning about a quart every two weeks. plus its alot of $...... redline is $8 a quart and mobil 1 is $5 a quart. redline oil is hard to get sometimes where mobil 1 is at all auto stores and they are open on weekends and nights til 8-9pm, easy to get when needed

I will have to say just becareful with your wastegate...redline doesn't cost $8 a quart.. I lost my contact infor.. I get them like 6 or 7 a quart but you will have to buy a case.. Once I find it, I will post it up for you... Good Luck with your sick ride...

Hey boostlee, I'm thinking of doing a similar setup on a H23 but i do have some what of a budget. How much did your turbo set up cost ya? Or do you know of a kit for the H23? I've searching around but i cant seem to find any kits. A lot of the H23 turbo set ups i've seen are using the Turbonetics t3/t4 like you. At the moment im just kinda gathering information about the project, so a price range or any other information about where to get parts would be much appreciated. thanks =)

theres a number of kits for H23's. RevHard, Turbonetics, Drag. they all make one. They run from 3-4k. Although you can build one piecemeal for substantially less.

i would get a custom manifold made or buy one if possible on ebay, that allows mating to mitsu turbos. i already touted this in another post but its worth mentioning again
mitsu turbos are consistently less than some of those shitty kits. this seems even more doable and realistically useful since my friend bolted a 14b onto his 86crx and ran low 13's on stock internals and he spent about 1000 for the whole car+used turbo+gauges+bov+etc.

not bad for an 86 crx with over 200k on it
