Help me!
Hi. I left my 5gen Prelude with my sister since I was going to be abroad for a long time. Since she doesn't know how to drive stick I just told her to start the engine once a week. She's been doing a good job for 3 months and now the car won't start. All I hear is few clicking sounds. I don't think it's the battery since she said she can turn on the radio and headlights. And since I don't have the car manual with me I was wondering what indicator lights should be on after you turn your key to right before you turn on your engine? She said oil, CEL and few other lights are on.
Does anyone have any idea or tell me what lights should be on right before you start your engine? Thanks for help me guys.
Oh and my car is 2000 prelude base with 40k miles and it's got an AEM CAI.

it's probably the battery. though starting the car is good practice, the engine isn't running long enough to charge the battery (unless she starts it and runs it for a few mins) and the battery has probably lost charge.
it's probably not dead, but weak, which is why the lights and radio still come on. it's just not enough to run the starter motor, hence the clicking. though, it should be noticeable that the batt is weak because the lights will come on weakly and the beeping when you put your keys in the ignition would sound weird.
try jumping it, and once it starts, drive it around for a good 30 minutes.

And it does sound like the battery is really low. I hear the magic number is 5. 5 miles worth of driving just to recharge how much you took out of the battery to start it. It's like 15-20 if just idle though I think.
