Default prelude or integra

I love the Prelude. Unfortunatly I have the base model with auto. Doesn't need much of anything, is in good condition. The tranny has been acting odd lately, my brother says it's not odd for an auto and still has a lot of life in it.

My aunt recently got a 2k3 Accord. She's selling a 1993 Acura Integra coupe LS. It's a manual and has about 155k miles. Needs some work not a lot, A/C is broken right now and it'll need some cosmetic work on the hood and roof. However it runs strong. I might be able to get it for around $2k.

What I'm thinking of doing, sell the prelude and my old accord... get as much for it as I can. Buy the Integra, fix it up a bit and drive that till I can save up the rest for a Prelude that I'm really looking for. (1995 5spd VTEC  )

I think that would leave me with the bulk of the money needed to buy a new prelude and less I need to save up to get it. Main thing I'm looking at is it's a manual and the money I have left over I can use towards the saving for a new Prelude within the next year.

Oppinions? Suggestions?

if you're gonna get a 95 VTEC anyway, buying the integra will just sidetrack you from achieving that goal. What i'd do is simply save the money, sell whichever car you don't need right now (accord or auto lude) and put that away in a savings account. Then, save up for your '95.

even if you get a GREAT price on the LS, it'll still end up costing you money when you sell it, unless u find a sucker to pay way over BB.

Yea... that's an idea. Sell the Prelude now... hope I get a sucker to buy it... and put that towards a new 95 VTEC.

I guess in that situation I'm most worried about how much I can get for the prelude. I paid over BB h: .... I doubt my chances of selling it over BB will be good. Oh I just don't know....

yeah, it sucks because car resale values are a bitch. but you know what, you can always rationalize a low sell price by saying "well i got what i paid for out of it by driving it around and enjoying it for X months/years"

buying and selling cars is an aggravating process when you think about the economic ramifications of it. It sucks in that sense, but hey what can you do.

that's why it's important to really LOVE your car b/c it's definitely a depreciable asset, especially when modding it. Thinking about all the money i'm going to spend on my car and how much that NEGATIVELY affects resale value is enough to make the financial wizard in me vomit. but the passionate driver in me just tells mr finance to stfu and shift to 2nd

well, i think saving would be the best thing to do and sell the uglier car first (which is prolly the accord becuase no lude is ugly) that way when its time to sell the lude it will still be in good shape. anyway good luck.

speaking of buying cars my brother just got a 97 prelude sh for 11, grand. It has 78g's on it running strong. this car is immaculate and far from stock, it was his friends and he put 15 grand of aftermarket into it. i will show a post of it when i get some picks.

a few thing done are 18's of classic isc rims discontinued, 13 inch proshe brakes. good luck click.
