btw i'm semi kidding but if you've got a 5th gen, the center console trim comes off with a screwdriver, and you kind of wedge it in there and pop it off. the other stuff i don't know.

good luck, i can see this being a high risk "mod"...

I just put in the factory carbon kit recently so the center console is actually pretty easy to take off. There are eight clips that hold it on. Three at the very top(left right and center)..three on the bottom(left right and center)... and one on each side of where the radio and temp controls are separated. Just pry around these clips and see which one pops out easiest then go from there. Use a rag or cloth over your screwdriver so you don't gouge the plastic. Once you get your fingers in there just pry it out slowly.
Let me know how the painting goes..I want to try it out myself as well. As for the air vents I haven't touched those. Good luck

two of my friends have had this done so far. They got everything painted including the vents so its not impossible. Maybe you could just take it to a pro and ask them how to take it off if you are going to paint it yourself. Or, if you are getting someone to do it for you, let them take it off so if anything happens you can get them to pay for it.

hmm taking off interior trim shouldn't be too hard so i don't hink you u need professional help getting the panels off. unless you're going to have them do the painting in which case let them do the whole thing. but when working with plastic. just don't use brute force to take anything out or put back in.

if you goto autozone or kragen, they'll probably have some crappy chilton repair manual for a 5th gen. look through it and see if there's something in there that helps.

haha, what kind of paint are you using? my friend used normal spray paint and then clear gloss, and it came out pretty sweet, word of advice is take your time doin everything.

and keep the paint even so you dont have drips.

what paint you using?
