Your car will cost some money to fix. how much? we don't know because we aren't there with your car to see what exactly is wrong. We're not sure what parts need to be ordered because a) you can't tell us what wires you've cut, b) all you've shown us is a picture of a steering wheel and half a speedo, and c) when we give you an opinion you start talking about how you've "got the hookup"

well master P, all i'm suggesting then, is that you go ask your "hookup" b/c we can't help you here.

and as far as us ragging on you for being a neon boy, that's just the way it is. i'm sure people would rag on me for having a 15+ second car, but you don't see me getting all ass hurt...either develop a sense of humor or find another forum.

oh boy, god dude chill out, ive told you what wires ive cut, those wires are the 5 by the cigarette lighter there are only 5, i dont know what kind of reaction this did but i know its big. the reason i get bitchy is cuz i almost flipped out when someone told me a thousand dollars to fix it.

prob need a new guage cluster/dash console, but that's assuming that the whole electrical system isn't shot.

a guage cluster for a 4th gen will run you about, 125? 150? maybe under 100 at a junkyard. i've never been familiar with the 4th gen cockpit, but that's how much it costs for a 5th.

Chill out man! First you do something lacking common sense on your own cognisance. Then you ask us for help. We give you an idea, and help you about as much if not more than you can be helped on a computer, and you get mad at us. Seriously...... tone down the attitude, be nice, and no one's gonna get huffy. You just have to be ready to shell out some cash if you need more than just an instrument cluster. But you need to have the entire lamp circuit trouble shot. You need some 12 volt electric knowledge, you need a multimeter, and you need a schematic or wiring diagram that is an ASE standard. Please understand, you have a complicated situation on your hands. I understand you having some anxiety about this, and your attitude can be justified with such a situation. But just try to keep a cool head, okay?

 

exactly, it may be just 2 lil gauges that arent working, but that doesnt mean its that wire causing the short. they all gotta be tested. if we are all forum pussies then go find "real" people to help you.
