anyone know of any reputable places where i can get a h22a4 longblock?

know of hmotorsonline.com and osaka... few more, but try me.

damn.. cant find a4 anywhere. i have a sh prelude, so i dont think my tranny will mount to the old h22 will it?

the tranny will mount to any H22 block, but you'll have to swap over an assload of stuff from your old motor to make it work. for instance, you need to swap over the oil filter adapter or you wont be able to change the oil filter.

www.powerpro2000.com rebuilds longblocks for many Honda cars. Be very careful with doing this project-the cost will get you if you do not shop wisely.
For example the typical D16a6 for a CRX fully rebuilt goes for around $2100. You can get one with 100k on it for under $500, but no warranty of any sort. If you go JDM-get the complete package with tranny, axles, ECU, harnesses etc.
