Default prelude questions

I gots a '93 Prelude H22A1 yesterday.. I traded in my civic. Gonna go ahead and start off w/ the typical newbie mods I/H/E.. few questions first.. cuz i wanna do things right from the get go and not buy cheap shit. Whats the best I/H/E setup in your opinion? what gives out the most HP? whats the best sounding muffler/catback? What about cams and cam gears? Whats the whole deal w/ those anyways? I never did 'em on the civic? Also gonna get a short shifter adapter. What else do you recomend to get right out of the box?

Man I so want your motor. I have a 92 prelude shell and I need a h22a1 vtec motor. Anyways what I would do is build the block right the first time if you want to get good HP from it. If you have the cash to I'd get a good tune up on the motor, get new internals for it, better aftermarket parts, better pistons, rings, valves, better camshafts. I"d go and get a good head to, get bettier internals for that as well. New head gasket and what not make sure everything is best of quality and it will last longer in the long run. That's just my ideas but as far as name brands, it depends on what you can afford. If I can afford spoon, I'd go with mostly spoon sports stuff, if I could afford mugen I'd go with them as well. jdmhondaparts.com has hella shit for motors, after market parts and whatever you need. I'll probably be buying most of my stuff from them. As for hp if you want to do nitrous, you'd better setup your block right to handle the amount of nos you want to use. You might want to go with forged pistons and rods to get better quality while using nos but I wouldn't use more then 100 shot of nos cuz anymore then that you might blow your motor. Well if you have anymore questions definetly ask were here to help. Good luck with the lude, I can't wait to get started on mine.

AEM CAI v2
SMSP or Mugen Header
Apexi N1 or Mugen exhaust

that would be a pretty solid I/H/E setup.

if you want to go turbo then dont by a header. you should just save up money till you have money for the turbo rather then buying bolt ons that cant do as much
