1st, it's VTEC. People that know, understand and respect the technology that went into VTEC can get pretty upset if it's not put right. It's not Vtec, V-Tec, VTECH, v-tech or any other variant.... save yourself the useless arguments that can go on for days and take you no place... and just make sure you say/type VTEC. Annnnnnyway...

2nd, there were 3 main models of the Prelude in the 4th generation. (USDM wise anyway)

S ... bottom of the barrel. 135hp. AT or MT

Si ... middle. 160hp. AT or MT

VTEC ... top end. 190hp. MT only.

Each one going up had some extra options here and there also, but nothing huge. The biggest diffrences were the engines, then the brakes/wheels, then little things like leather, wing, better stereo etc.

As stated previously... the SR is basically the Si version for the canadians.

Clikwir what you're saying is 100% correct. The Si/SR is the same ,the SR being the Canadian version. The S model was the same for all of North America but the VTEC was VTEC in the U.S. and called SR-V in Canada. The 4WS was only available for the Si/SR models(160hp non-VTEC).There's also the case of the Civic. The SOHC VTEC Civic(I believe it's the 96-2000 models) in the U.S. is called EX whereas in Canada it's Si,Now the new Civic hatch in the U.S. is Si and in Canada it's the Sir.What the hell is up with that it's too confusing if you ask me and unnecessary.Canada also gets a SOHC VTEC sedan called the Acura 1.6 EL(newest one is the 1.7 EL).I'm not arguing with anyone I was just trying to share info about what my Si/SR had for options because someone mentioned that they didn't come with heated seats or mirrors.
