Default Cupholder... broken

Just wondering if anyone knows a way to fix this... its the type that springs up... it doesnt spring down anymore i think the spring came out... it stays up. Honda wants 60 bucks for a new one :fawk: . Thanks to anyone who can help...

And yes i have tried ALL my junk yards and they are already gone... go figure.

this has to be the most common part to break on 4th gens I think. I just took out the spring so that way it at least will go down when you push it. and then to open it just push on the back. so it wont spring up automatically but at least semi works.

How'd you do that mine stays open all the time and if i try to close it, it doesnt...

just pull it out and then there will be a spring on the back of it. that is whats making it stay open. so just pry it off with a screw driver and then you can at least keep it closed and open it when you want it just wont pop up.

LOL... yea they do break tho. I have a question when i took out the cup holder whats that adapter right underneath the cupholder is it for the transmission? It ready to be adapted to something. Just curious... thanks!

At least your 4th gen came with cupholders.I really hate driving with a drink between my legs,t a total pain in the ass!!

I know right under my cup holder is the OBD-II interface connector. Might be what your refering to?

It's basically where they "hook up your car to the computer".
