Default Honda Prelude Intake Sensor Mod?

I was just looking up some mods that can be done and i came across this $15 mod. Does it work? Anyone buy this yet?

"The intake sensor mod taps into your engines electronics system and tells your engine that cooler air is entering. Your engine will increase the amount of fuel introduced into each cylinder so the mod should only be used with a good intake and premium gasoline. The mod has proven to give an increase of up to 8 horsepower on all Prelude models. The Intake Sensor Mod includes a small chip type piece that is inserted into your IAT sensor as well as full installation instuctions."

sounds iffy. I don't know about messing with F/A mix for 14.95.

and don't get me wrong but this mod portends to make you run richer? how does that = 8hp? and why can't the stock ECU setup provide enough fuel for whatever intake condition? unless you've got some kind of crazy setup going on...

i'm probably missing something here.
