Does anyone know where I can get a new H22? Does Honda Sell them off the line? only places I've seen say they pulled them out of used cars and only promise that they'll start not that they are any good or how many miles are on them. So if anyone knows where I could get one please let me know.

Honda sells them, but it would be hella expensive. You could check www.hondaautomotiveparts.com Do a search, cause this has been discused before

 

you could always have your motor rebuilt by a reputable shop. i've had Comptech www.comptechusa.com do a lot of engine work for me, and they're pretty reasonable. don't pay attention to their "rebuild menu" prices. if you call, they'll hook you up on a deal.

i built my own, only took about 3 days once i massed all the new replacement parts together

i dropped 1200 on a 93 h22a1, and then about 500 on oem parts and machine shop work and seals to make it zero-miles.

im sure you are probably thinking...yea right this guy is a crackhead...well your half right i am a crackhead with honda engines, but i dont smoke crack :thumbup:

my h22a1 from zero miles now has 24,000 on it, and it doesnt burn a drop of the fully synthetic Mobil 1 oil i run in it.
i also revlimit it at 7800 rpm just about every night i drive it.
hasnt blown a damn thing (knock on wood) but i think if a bearing or something was gonna fail it woulda happened in the last 24,000 miles.

if you want ill rebuild an h22a and ship it to you, i rebuilt a h23a1 and sold it on ebay for $1195.00 plus shipping ($300) and shipped it thru old dominion freight lines to a guy in pennsylvania.
