225 tire size
I ran 225/35/18's on 3-piece racing hart M5s. No rubbing what so ever. My '97 was lowered 2inches also with with tanabe super downs. The tire size I used was 18x7.5 with +51 offset. I do have front camber issues but no rubbing. you might have to shave off a bit of the trim inside the rear fender wells(it's a little plastic piece which sticks out). as far as rubbing is concerned, the wheel size and offset matter more than the tire size. If you wheel is'nt wider than 7.5 inches and your wheel offset is between +51 and +48 it should be fine. you may be able to go a lower offset than that but don't have any experience with that. Just to warn you there is'nt alot of cushion with a 225/35/18, you may also want to consider a 215/40/18. hope this helps. good luck!
