"d4" light flashes when i try to use sport shift

Can anyone tell me what this is about? and if it has ever happened to you? thanks a lot.

I had the d4 light blink on me, but that was when I tried to switch my O2 sensors. I couldn't even put it in drive.

tranny malfunction. take it to your dealer and have them read the fault code.
