Default Front Mount Air Intakes...

Does Anyone own or know anyone who owns a front mount air intake. Arospeed is one company which makes these. I wanted to know how good they work and also, how well the plastic guard works against ingestion of water. Aparently the plastic guard goes on over the entire intake/filter to keep water from getting in and only allowing air in. Just wondering if anyone knows much about these and if they are worth the money. (round $200) Thanks

take a course in physics and you'll realise the folly of the setup.

I guessing that you mean it had to do with something about how the air flows from the front of the car into the intake? or do you mean the positioning of where the intake is in general? hehe. Sorry, I dont get Physics till next year, only a sophmore in high school and I'm not very smart haha ;p. Thanx tho =\

Front mount cai are a joke. You will have to clean it every time you drive on the freeway because of bugs hitting it. And you will never suck water in your engine unless you totally submerge your filter.

You'll get more torque with it, but with the plastic cover on it's basically useless, without it there are chances it'll suck all the dirts in it.
