XacurhonX,

Your right, it definitely is cheaper and I hope this works for you.
Obviously when I had mine fixed there were no mod fixes like that. The dealer just replaced the whole thing. (Probably more cost effective for there warranty labor)

Let us all know if it works and how hard or easy it was to do.

Mike

Also, I noticed that my Prelude was drinking a very small amount of oil. Towards the 3000 mile mark (Oil change) I was down 1/8 of a quart. I use to enjoy the VTEC zone too much. Never smelled burning oil though.

........Keep us informed.

Mike,
Last Sunday, I decided to fix the strut assembly by replacing the old collar with the one I ordered from Honda. The entire process did not take more than 30 minutes. Most of the time was spent cleaning my trunk and removing the plastic/fabric liner. Those plastic push-in screws are sure a pain. Anyhow, I am so happy to not be able to hear those nasty clunking noise.
Thanks again for your info.

Thatpreludeguy,
Try the link I posted earlier. Surprisingly, it works, and it's really really cheap.
