Default Wanted: 1st gen Prelude

I currently own a 5th gen Prelude, but am looking to purchase a 1st gen Prelude, preferably a 79 model, in good condition, if anyone knows where I can get one, please reply to this thread.

Those first generation Preludes are kinda quirky. The instruments are arranged in a funky way, and the dash board in general is just...... kinda wierd. I guess they're good cars if you can find one. But they're all carburated.

I know they have carbs, and I know they can be tricky to work on, but I thought it would be cool to have an ol skool lude to just show and go. I was hoping to put some old panasports or some SSR mesh wheels, maybe some koni yellows, upgrade the springs, and put a newer more efficient carb on it with a manual choke, and then just leaving the rest stock.

I saw a 1979 model on ebay not too long ago.... it was in California and had something like 175,000 miles on it. I think the bid was at 500.00 w/ no reserve. They said it ran, though.

Go for it! I think it would be real cool to have a 1st Gen in good shape.

heh, I was going to ask if a '85 prelude was worth getting, but I don't really want another car that bad. how close are you to maryland? I might be able to hook you up if it hasnt sold yet. $200, owned and well maintained by the kid of a honda shop owner in rockville.
