Default '99 prelude audio/intake

I just bought my prelude and have a few questions that need suggestions/answers:

1. What is the easiest way to wire an amp's power cord from the trunk to the engine battery?

2. Is there a front mount intercooled intake made for the prelude? If not, what is a recommended CAI?

1.) get a fuse holder for your battery. connect that to + on bat. and then run a wire from the holder through your firewall, under the panels on the sides of the cars (pull 'em out....they just clip in/out then unclip the carpet), then you can figure out how to get it in the truck with out it being seen.

it's not hard.

2.) i dont know of any frontmount intakes....but... get AEM cold air intake.

hope that helps.

Running the wire is somewhat tricky, but not very. The battery, master fuse and relay box, and master electrical harness boot are all on the passenger side. Here's what you do:

Remove the passenger side step over garnish and lift the carpeting (take out the passenger floor mat first if you have one)

Drop out the glove box (easy -- 4 screws and the damper unhooks from the dash)

Remove the kick panel

Pull back the carpet and you will see the boot a little higher than where the glove box is

From the engine side, take a straightened coat hanger and poke through the boot SLOWLY

On the engine side, make a small loop and hook your power wire to it

Push it through from the engine side (it would be better if you have two people do this)

Once it's through, you can run the wire all the way back to the trunk (you may need to lift more carpet up and/or remove the rear seat bottom to do it neatly)

Fit all wiring neatly in the floor well, tuck everything back, and assemble everything in reverse. Just remember to run your speaker and RCA wiring on the other side, or you will quickly find out what 12 volts DC sounds like!
