Default tail lamp 'smoke' spray paint

anyone ever use tail lamp 'smoke' spray paint?

'cus i've seen these in "smoke" and they look damn good. (i have a red 5th gen)


cant seem to find the smoked ones anywhere.

what you do is that you get a type of clear coat spray that you spray on your taillights and it tints them, thats a cheap way of smoking them and it looks great like all other smoked taillights, thats how must people smoke their headlights

just make sure you are getting the right one, I have seen people do that with the wrong one then not be able to see the lights at night lol, hotlude was talkin about the right one I think.....

how about the one on that site above? it's all in japanese ...so it must be the right one lol :naughty: (the spray can)

check with your local laws, as tinting your taillights and/or headlights is illegal in most locations.

the worst part, that tint spray doesnt come off easily, if at all... if you get a fix-it ticket.

i found a couple of sites(dont have the url) that recommend RC car window tint spray. I went to my local hobby shop and found some. It is made by "pactra" and is sold in a 3oz can for about 4 bucks. Just use this, and apply a few(probably up to 5 or so) smooth coarts from about a ft away keeping steady motion,and then apply some enamel that should look nice. the model number or the spray is RC294, hope that helps. I have 2 cans that i didnt use because of local law

btw, i think the stock taillights are about the best look you can get, but whatever works for you :joshers:
