Default trunk leak in 5th gen.

when it rains, water leaks out the holes from the taillight bulbs inside the trunk (under the covering). I was wondering if anyone else has this problem?

Is there supposed to be a cover or something? makes me mad.

i cant even put my subs back there

ger. i took out the gaskets, cleaned them, around them, etc. Put it back on the tail light with all the bolts. still leaks like a mofo. :-/

i guess i can try geting new ones? they look in ok condition. nothing wrong with them that i can tell.

sometimes they look like ok but arent,if the water is coming in through where the bulbs are then the prob definitely is with the light/lights..... is it possible to try sealing it in that area with some clear silicone sealant?

yea 97vtec sounds like the liner if its coming from the side but check out around the light too etc..... epoxy, if you end up doing it let me see some pics and tell me if you can see your lights through it. I have a black one and out of all the ones ive seen the black/black IMO looked the best. a red car with black would look sweet also, kinda give it an rx-7 look.....
