How do you like your ludes???
Well I do when I put it back into first as I Am about at a stop I hear a grrr grind but I figured that was me getting used to the gears and I was just grinding on them...I dunno if that's the timming belt auto tentioner and I dunno what's been done to the car as I Am the second owner.
what the hell when i get to a stop i downshift to about 2nd or 3rd and than drop in to neutrul, once i hit the stop ill put it into first i never ride it down to 1st i dont think your supposed to do that
Well no, I Am stopped but it's the engine is still winding down ( I guess)...it's weird my Accord never did that(it was a manual too) but I just figured that was the querks of the Prelude and the sportier tranny.

We're narrowing this thing down to microscopic levels. This tensioner deal and any other problems (outside of the SportShift tranny) that I've mentioned are such small problems and low occurrances that you really should have no worries. On the big picture, a fifth gen Prelude is just as reliable as any other Honda. There are little problems with lots of Hondas, but again in the big picture they're great cars. I just don't want to get this thread stuck in a discussion of detailed problems which may or may not occur at all. Preludes are great cars. I'd recomend them 100 times.
Oh no..I didn't take it like that. My roomate still drives my old Prelude (1986 Prelude Si) that has 230,000 (originally purchased by my sister and her husband in 1986) and has been wrecked 3 times (minor) and outside of the engine revving at idle it still runs.
I have alot of faith in Preludes.
And if only to say, I hope Honda brings the model back (and I think they will after talking to several people who would be in the know...although it would be 05,06,07..depending on how ready it is and when the marketing people feel is right)
