Default nippon motors h22

Has anybody bought an engine or specifically an h22 from nippon motors. They have the engine for 1150.. Is there anybody who can beat that price or know a better place to purchase an engine for a reasonable price. thanks. Nick.

which company are you talking about nippon? because i am also intrested in getting a h22 but i think jdm would be the best thing to go with, but if i get a new motor do i need to get more stuff or can i just use the old stuff? i know i have to change the speedometer thats for sure

I have had friends buy from nippon. The engines were cool, no problems. As with any jdm engine or used engine you buy, you should always change out a few things. Timing belt and water pump are a have to. Im just trying to see if anyone has had bad experience with nippon

No. The motors are used jdms. Im just saying if you buy an engine used u should replace the timing belt and water pump, no matter how many miles they say the engine has.

It's a good general practice to replace the major maintenance items while the engine is easy to access and out of the car; I knew a friend who bought a B18C and neglected to do any of it... timing belt snapped within 2K miles. He was VERY lucky, and didn't bend any valves/etc.
