my friend had a 94 vtec and i know what you're talking about with the smoke, i heard it's a common problem, not that big of a deal.

oh btw, like flossedteg said, the 6cyl is definately not happening, just throw in another H22 and be happy

I don't think it's possible, without at the least a ton of hassle and work, to put in a v6.

H22 is the way to go.

If you have the VTEC engine, don't worry. The first generation of VTEC technology has a permissable amount of smoke when you kick into it. All Prelude VTEC models have this (1992-2001) since they never upgraded the design for that car. I've seen VTECs brand new do this. Mine does - a little. I have a 2000 and I use about a quart of oil every oil change. Just make sure it's always at the top dot every time you fill up and you should have no problems. Now, if you have a standard engine, that may be a sign of a more complicated problem. You may want to have it checked out ONLY if you have a normal Honda engine. As for the V6 idea, forget it. No can do. Even if you had all the money and time in the world, there is no space for it. What were you thinking, a 3.5 from the MDX??????

all the money it would take to put a v6 in there you are better off getting a JDM h22 and modding it, you could easily go full-out all motor or full out forced induction for the money it would take (if its possible) to put a v6 in the lude.... Although, I will say that the ludes are one of the cars which would have been better suited with a v6 rather than the high rev 4bangers should there be a way.
