If you have the VTEC engine, don't worry. The first generation of VTEC technology has a permissable amount of smoke when you kick into it. All Prelude VTEC models have this (1992-2001) since they never upgraded the design for that car. I've seen VTECs brand new do this. Mine does - a little. I have a 2000 and I use about a quart of oil every oil change. Just make sure it's always at the top dot every time you fill up and you should have no problems. Now, if you have a standard engine, that may be a sign of a more complicated problem. You may want to have it checked out ONLY if you have a normal Honda engine. As for the V6 idea, forget it. No can do. Even if you had all the money and time in the world, there is no space for it. What were you thinking, a 3.5 from the MDX??????
