Default screwed up electrical parts bad help

well i got some silver faced indiglo guages and me and my friend was tryign to install it on my 93 prelude. we got it in the cluster all fine but then we tried to get power to it. to make it short we chopped a bunch of wires then put them back together. at one point all the dash lights went off and the door locks dont work. Does anyone know the problem? perhaps a fuse or something.

 Oh, boy. You chopped up your instrument wiring? Well, assuming you correctly rewired everything firmly (no intermittent connections), then I'd say yes. Check the fuse box. But before you do, make sure those wires are correctly connected to the right points. I might even suggest purchasing the factory wiring and schematic diagram book. Or taking it to a certified technician. Shorts and crossed wiring will keep blowing fuses and may do even more damage...... perhaps even to your ECM, which will be big bucks to replace. You can cause problems to your illumination circuit, radio, climate, you name it. Be careful, man. That's all I have to say.

Then you $hould take it to the dealer or hone$t\good auto$hop and let them check it out for around $60.00. They will tell you want you need to fix etc... Then youc an find the part$ el$e where. But I think you blew your multplex modulator thats what I blew it was quoted @ $350.00 for the unit it self but I got a deal at http://www.haprecycling.com for $70.00 including shipping. Had Honda show me where the unit was located got some diagrams and directions form Honda dealer (Parts Department)

No. My lights are fine, and I do not have modded pullies. That's the worst thing you can do to your accessories, anyway. Burn up the bearings in no time.
