I was at a Honda dealership recently and one of the salesmen told me that Honda had plans for releasing a new Prelude in 2004. Does anyone know if there is any truth to this? Does anyone know about the possibility of a new Prelude being released either at the end of 2003 or at the end of 2004? Does anyone know about any type of new sport compact car that Honda may be releasing for that matter? Thanks in advance for any information.

No one has made mention of this on any forum that I've seen, so the dealer's chance of being right... about 1.2%

Honestly though, probably an April Fool's Joke. Unless he's talking about the rumored S2200 coupe. :dunno:

 

No. Honda has the Accord six speed, Acura RSX-S, and CL-S which all in one form or another take up where the Prelude left off. I hope they never make another one.......... keeps the value of my 2000 five speed high!

The second one looks a little like the old Lexus SC400. I like it better as well, but don't count on it.

 

I remember hearing about honda making a new prelude a while ago, but I dont think it is true. Plus you always know about new models way in advace anyways, so its for sure not an '04 model. It would have been at the detroit auto show and in all the mags. You'll know if honda is gonna make another lude.

Thank you guys for all the info, I appreciate it. I think you're all right, there will be no more Prelude... and I sure will hold on to my 2001 Prelude. Last year they made it, in electron blue pearl, the only year with that color, and manual tranny.... it will hold its value, I guess I should hold on to it. Although those 2 pics are photoshop, I kinda like the second one.
