Default jdm headlights mod for 4th gen.

the JDM headlight mod, is it worth getting it? is it worth paying $200 and is it a pain in the ass putting it in? comments from those who have them please...

they look awsome. its worth it if you want a simple look upgrade, no real function, although it would improve light output a bit if you reall wanted to do that you should just get HID's. and you have to remove the bumper. not that hard to do. also 200 I think is pretty cheap for them. I always see them for like at least 250.

i think they look great and i would think they put out more light but i havent found any D.O.T. approved yet & thats a hassle i don't need but if you find them and there D.O.T. ok please let me know i would love to have a set

none are going to be dot approved since they were never made for the us... but do people really pay attention to that? i've never had a problem with mine.

I guess its all relative of what you have done to your car before. when i did it on my friends prelude it was quite simple since I had already done the same thing to my accord, and my other friends civic. if its a first time thing I would say it could take a few hours maybe.

only 200????? my gawd.. the lowest price i could get was 265 shipped but that's with all the parts you'll need for it.... some sets still go for $400

i have seen them for 225, vut i bet u can fin them cheaper maybe. Check ebay they have some great prices on the jdm headlights, thats where i saw them for 225 still in the box and all. also preludetuning.com has the installation on there (under installation tips) check it out.

How hard is it convert one-piece into projectors/HID? And what is the best set of projectors to use for a retro?

i personally used a6 projectors. any oem projector hid setup will be fine. i mostly hear of people using audi and bmw stuff. its pretty easy to do the retrofit too, my only problem was finding a way to actually mount them to the oem adjusting points.
