Default manual tran fluid 5th gen

I need to do a 60k mile service, I was looking as what the dealer does according to there check list. My car is a 99' and they say that they change spark plugs trans fluid and mostly inspect everthing else.
I thought i read somewhere the plugs don't get changed until 105k.
Any other things i should know would be appreciated

well, on the fifth gens a common problem is the timing belt auto tensioner, but it wouldnt be practical to do that unless you were doing the timing belt, the plugs they use from the factory in ludes are good, they are pretty expensive and they last a long time so they could make it to 105K, just inspect them.

switch to $2.00 a piece ngk coppers. zfr6f-11 or one step colder zfr7f-11s.

the tensioner usually only fails after a timing belt change, so when that is done it should be replaced.

100k and 105k service intervals are only on the newer Honda motors, for instance, the K series and J series V6's. this is due to a distributorless ignition system.

without a dizzy, there's no cap, rotor, or wires to replace on the normal 60k service interval. the plugs, being platinum tipped, are also replaced at that time.

for older Hondas, or hondas with dizzys, Honda does the plugs at the 60k interval since you should be tuning up the while ignition system at that time.

in other words, you dont need to change your plugs right now... but it's better to run copper plugs instead due to better fuel combustion, more power, less fouling, and overall better fuel economy.

also, only use Honda MTF or Redline MTF in your transmission. only these two brands have the friction modifiers and shock inhibitors required to prevent serious damage to your synchronizers.
